When it comes to performance and graphics, the Xbox Series X comes with more powerful features than the Sony PS5. The Xbox Series X features a GPU processing power of 12.155 TFLOPS which is a tad higher than the PS5’s 10.3 TFLOPS.
Note that a teraflop (TFLOPS) refers to how many operations per second the hardware can handle. The higher value of the Xbox Series X means it could offer better graphics and performance than the PlayStation 5.

Judging by its previous consoles, Microsoft has always reigned supreme when it comes to audio quality and it seems that’s going to continue with the release of the Xbox Series X.
While Microsoft has confirmed that the Series X will support DST:X, Dolby Atmos, and Windows Sonic, the audio specs of the PS5 still remain in the dark.
All we know is that it will support 3D audio which doesn’t match up to the Xbox Series X.

In this area, both consoles perform excellently. They both come with optical disc drives and are expected to play 4K Blu-rays.

Microsoft once again outsmarts Sony with its storage size and options. The Xbox Series X will come with 1TB internal storage. This is expandable up to 1TB.

Both the PS5 vs Xbox Series X are backwards compatible but to some degree. The PS5 should support most PS4 titles though little to nothing is known about older PlayStation consoles.
We do not hope to see Sony accommodate these older consoles, if they do, then it would be a good surprise.
